The FSF bureaucracy just sends their notices of GDB copyright assignment
to gdb-patches. Although it sounds a little lame (they're not patches,
after all), the message thus gets seen by all maintainers and patch
submitters, which is what one wants from such a message.
For instance, I heard today through the grapevine that Apple's copyright
assignment for GCC had been accepted by the FSF, but I haven't seen any
electronic or paper notification of this.
