Tom,
It seems that the general consensus is that the categories gc, host,
profiling and libgcc can be removed right now; could you please remove
them from the GCC GNATS installation? I'd appreciate if you could
double-check that there are no reports in them.
I will integrate the necessary changes into gccbug; I will also take
the opportunity to document the categories and classes in gccbug.
The issue of splitting the c++ category into finer subcategories is
not sufficiently resolved, yet; when we have a technology for doing
so, I come back with a proposal of what these categories should be.
When that is done, we should also have a way of documenting the
various fields in the Web interface.
