Hi,
Martin's been doing a wonderful job dealing with bug reports. A lot
of his replies are of the form,
> Thanks for your bug report. The mainline compiler (2.96 20000302
> (experimental)) compiles this without problems, so the bug appears to
> be fixed.
wouldn't it be nice if we could make 2.95.2, snapshot, and cvs built
compilers available over the web? The user provides a preprocessed
file and compiler options, the server compiles the code and reports
back. this would help our users know whether it's worth upgrading.
Comeau computing has such a system for testing the legality of
C++ snippets.
