Hi everyone,
I am new to the list and I have not been monitoring it so I have a
few quick questions.
1) Is Gcc 2.95.2 (Linux Intel) ready for prime time? Alan Cox says it
has some serious bugs.
2) Is it safe to use it to recompile the 2.2 Linux kernel?
3) Is it safe to use the -mpentium -mpentiumpro flags?
4) Is it living its last days?
I am a volunteer on Project Independence Linux and we are getting ready
to do some major work on our distribution and some questions were
raised about gcc 2.95.2.
Any information on the above questions would be very helpful to us.
