It shouldn't, but since that isn't the recommended procedure, I don't
know that it's well tested.

That's the recommended thing to do.

Did you perhaps downloaded a UW7 package to install on your UW2 system
and forget to install the UDK runtime kit?  (But let's redirect
skunkware issues to the address on the above web pages and not this
list.)

If it fails, please include more context in the error.   This really
should work.
