We have received a contract to implement the IA64 C++ ABI. This is
the ABI that will become -fnew-abi when it is ready. The ABI itself
is still under discussion, but most of the basic points have been
worked out. We expect to complete most of the work early next year.
This work will include structure layout, including virtual function
tables, etc., run-time support, and a new exception-handling model.
