I used -mthreads because that is what Lynx on RS/6000 used and I
followed that precedent. I did not even realize that -pthread was allowed
at that time. It obviously is used so it must be okay, but what are the
rules about using -p? AIX does use -posix. Lynx actually cares about the
compiler seeing the thread option to prevent incompatible options, but AIX
does not care so -pthread is as good as -mthreads.
This will throw off any EGCS users who have been using -mthreads.
I will leave it to the option pedants as I do not care which name is
used.
