We have a redirection list "sender@domain/recipient@domain => new-recipient"
in our Zmailer installation. It's used mainly for customers who cannot
easily change the sender address in their mail UAs but still want central
processing for their mailing lists, and they can't use procmail or simiar
either. Thus there are no problems with double bounces since the original
sender address is left alone, and empty sender addresses are not matched by
these rules anyway.
I don't particularly like this setup either, but it works rather well, and
the new egcs list is the only one which uses a _different_ sender envelope
address for every message...
