g77 bugs in current snapshots

I am seeing a number of g77 execution problems with the current snapshots on
mips-sgi-irix6.2 when running the LAPACK testsuite.
This is interesting (to me) as I get no g77 testsuite failures and only the
usual 11 longstanding gcc failures.
I have reported one of the bugs to egcs-bugs but the rest are hard to
isolate.
