Re: A patch for linux 2.1.127
Quoting Richard B. Johnson (root@chaos.analogic.com):
[long debatte snipped]
What does this all have to do with egcs (and the subject)?
If you have problem converting Intel/MS Syntax into AT&T Syntax,
take a look at nasm or atomatic convertes between MASM and
AT&T syntax (i didn't need theese tools, so don't ask me
for url's).
gcc has chosen AT&T syntax, because it is common among all unices,
and it doesn't have ambiguities like Intel's. If you don't like
this, feel free to change to other tools, but don't blame the egcs-
list, that gcc doesn't change its assembly output for only one
of a hole bunch of supported architectures which want's to be
different than all others.
Hope, this silly part of this thread is finished now.
Bye,
Martin.
