Every egcs snapshot is still available on our ftp server.
You may have to take an older snapshot and patch it up to 19980803, but
all the pieces you need are still there.

It depends on the code. I also thought that the checker support was already
in egcs. Or am I confusing it with some other checker-like code in the
compiler?
