It may be better, but we'd need a clearer benefit to start down this road right
now. We have a lot of issues to address, and I don't think this one is all that
serious.

It is, but there is a limited amount of developer time. I think our time is
better spent dealing with your existing patches first.
On the subject of your existing patches -- have you send a copyright assignment
to RMS yet? (You've probably already answered that question, I just can't
remember what your answer was -- sorry).
