egcs-19980906 on irix6.4

egcs-19980906, minus java and libchill, bootstrapped
successfully on irix6.4. gcc testsuite results appeared to be as
expected while the connection lasted. g77 performance is
improved over egcs-1.1. Planning to run Alexandre Oliva's
testsuite driver with current and future (y2k) dates.
java does not configure with necessary includes from
egcs-19980906/include. libchill/waituntil.c (?) fails to compile.
Both are usual errors seen in several environments.
