In my Linux's /usr/include/math.h the structure relating to the prototype
mismatch is called "__exception", rather than "exception" as on both
Solaris 2.5.1, 2.6 and IRIX 6.2 and presumably most other OSs. So the
check configure does for matherr support fails of course. To me this
looks like a non-standard structure name then in my /usr/include/math.h
file.
The upsdide to this is that it was pretty easy to just add:
#define exception __exception
and then things build just fine now. The downside though is that
I have no idea who to report this incompatibility to since I have
no clue who's responsible for /usr/include/math.h. Inside the file
it says "part of the GNU C Library" and "ISO C Standard: 4.5 MATHEMATICS".
Maybe you could forward this to the right people for me or know
who I should send it to. I'd guess that since I'm glibc1 and glibc2
is supposed to be the cool new thing that it has this updated but
it'd only be a guess. Supposedly glib2 isn't supported yet on PPC
so its not worth downloading over my puny 28.8 modem pipe right now.
Thanks again Jeff!
