Thanks, possibly, to recent revisions in testsuite, I was unable to find any
false indications associated with compiler failures.   However, tests which
are looking for XFAIL force that result when the compiler flags chosen are
rejected by the older compiler; the test is bypassed but XFAIL is reported.
