The maintainer of another list I read recently sent out a "smudged"
list of e-mail addresses the list had received posts from so that
the readership could recognize theirs and notify for addition. That
looks like a whole lot of work.
Maybe MUAs of the future will have a facility for selecting from
multiple From: addresses depending on recipient? Although I think
that is about on the same order of complexity as only forwarding
messages that are properly PGP-signed by a subscriber with a key
on the listserv's keyring.
