Hi,
since this is the first snapshot of the egcs-1.1 release branch, i
thought it was the appropriate time to remind the list of some
remaining bugs in g++. These are bugs i reported in the past few
months and which are still in this snapshot : (ordered by severity)
- bad code generation on sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1
http://www.cygnus.com/ml/egcs-bugs/1998-Jun/0043.html
- ICE40 :
http://www.cygnus.com/ml/egcs-bugs/1998-May/0472.html
- ICE99 : unfortunately, this one is huge and difficult to reduce
http://www.cygnus.com/ml/egcs-bugs/1998-Apr/0511.html
- fixinclude problem with limits.h or float.h on
sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1 (also in gcc) :
http://www.cygnus.com/ml/egcs-bugs/1998-May/0612.html
- spurious ostream/enum warnings :
http://www.cygnus.com/ml/egcs-bugs/1998-Apr/0605.html
If not specified the tested platforms are both sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1
and i686-pc-linux-gnu. If you prefer, i can resend them to the
egcs-bugs list.
The good news is that most of the bugs i reported are now fixed. Thank
you everybody for this good work ! However i don't know the proper way
to report this. A bug tracking system would be very welcome :>.
