So what the heck are RH doing including a known problematic binary in the
distribution????

And it seems to work on RH5.0; I have KDE compiled now - and have a
kdehelp and kfm up (they are a bit touchy but generally OK).
I did have the Xserver (Matrox Mill 2) exit a minute ago - I think that
was when I tried to go to www.unitedmedia.com using kfm - I'll try it
again later.
