Exactly what configuration are you using? What compiler is building
floatformat.c and failing? gcc-2.7 or egcs?
I don't think gcc-2.7 correctly supported solaris2.6; you might be
better off wiping your object directory, then setting CC to cc and
then reconfiguring & rebuilding egcs.
