Having it work at all seems like a nice feature.
I think that:
test-text = <<_EOF_
[[....]]
_EOF_;
is likely still better than the quoted string, though.
Without the little hyphen ("<<-"), the leading tabs are
not stripped. At this point, whatever is easiest for you. :)
