I thought it would be easy to force a gc collection and show that
memory pointed by
plugin type was not cleared. If it is too hard to do so, don't worry about it.

All that is needed is for someone that is comfortable reviewing this
part of the compiler
to do so. Sorry, but I have never worked with the gc or gentype.
