Mikael,
As I wrote, way back when, the patch looked OK but, with my inexpert
use of valgrind, I could not see that it made a difference. I asked
that Tobias repeat his original diagnosis. I have to confess that the
patch looked like it did the right thing.....

Up to my eyeballs with daytime work. I try to find the odd moment
here and there for gfortran but 12hour working days do not leave much
energy for anything else.
