It is far more important to get a solid compiler for C++98 or C++03 -- which the
far vast majority of GCC/g++ users are using -- than risk introducing
regressions
on release branches for the sake of C++0x features that are in the WP, which
itself has come under the constant pressure of being teared apart and badly
damaged at the next meeting.
