I guess I think it would be OK to put this patch in without getting
everything else working, just so that it's not a moving target, but

that Ian will say that the patch is OK, and indicate whether he thinks
we should put it in now, or wait until you have (a) the cfun stuff, and
(b) the MIPS bits all ready to go as well.

Either plan would be OK with me. Not having heard any comments one way or the other about the idea for "the cfun stuff", I'm planning to jump into trying to implement it, and I hope another week of hacking will be enough to get something working. That's assuming I don't run into some other intractable problem along the way! :-P
