Hi Mark,

I think it would actually be better to avoid writing out the \n, i.e.,
just write out the literal options.  That seems more straightforward,
and might make mechanical processing of the section by other tools more
automatic.

But, hey, I've nit-picked this patch enough.  You can leave 'em in, or
take 'em out, at your discretion.

I took them out - it simplified the code a little and they were not needed in order for "strings -a" to work properly after all.

Patch applied.
