- Subject: [PINGx2][Patch]: multilib fixes for libjava
Can someone who maintains the build machinery review the patch
to fix multilib builds of -m64 on 32-bit processors. The proposed
patch was posted...
The Darwin developers are okay with the patch (since it
allows a G4 or non-EMT64 Intel machine to build multilib)...
The java developers have approved the java/boehm-gc/zlib parts...
I would appreciate a final review and checkin before bit-rot
starts to set in.
ps I consider this to also fix a regression on gcc 4.2 branch
because of the following reasoning. The gcc 4.2 release defaults
to a multilib build and will fail on 32-bit processors unless
an additional --disable-multilib flag is passed to configure.
My understanding is that amounts to an regression since the
build process shouldn't be picking up additional configure
flags unless absolutely necessary.
