I have converted it to a TODO - the enclosed patch excludes
looking for derived types in the allocation specification expression,
thereby fixing your problem.

I propose to apply this rather than revert.  I will make a testcase
of your example, submit a PR and fix it tonight.

Is that acceptable to everybody?
