Well, I can certainly cut & paste the FUNCTION_VALUE and 
FUNCTION_OUTGOING_VALUE documentation there, but I don't feel like making
a sound combined documentation as I likely would introduce subtle errors.

Maybe someone with enough understanding of those target macros can do it.
Or leave it for later at the point of removing the target macros.
