This is ok, if testing shows the intended effect.  Sorry for the
delay.

I don't see your name in the FSF copyright assignment list
(hint, hint), else I'd suggest you apply for write-after-approval
access; I think there has been enough good patches from you.

Everyone, please CC me on patches for which you want my
attention.  I sometimes get behind on reading mailing lists.
(I'm not really this much behind however, but it's bad enough).
