Wow, that's quite a bit!
The patch likes very fine; in addition to Ian's comments, the only
request I have is whether you could use <code>...<code> instead of
<tt>...</tt>?
That, and I'm pretty sure you regularily use LaTeX, don't you? ;-)
(In HTML, we don't need to escape the '%' character.)
