If there is consensus that the source should be (temporarily) removed
then that is fine with me, though I'd prefer to just disable the makefile
bits to give RMS some more time than 7 days.  Also I won't have much
time to dedicate to this problem until in two weeks, apart from emergency
stuff like requested.
