My question is, then, what are you trying to do with it, and will we need that on djgpp? Have you created a utility that won't function on all the platforms that gcc/binutils/gdb run on? Also, how do we *ensure* that programs which are supposed to be portable, remain so? I'm worried about the slippery slope.
