Would you please specify the severe problems? There appears to be
no mailinglist discussion about the reason for unit-at-a-time being
disabled. There is no comment in the source code explaining why it is
disabled.
What needs to be tested? When do you expect to have the results
of the tests?
This patch proposal deserves a more detailed response.
