Nigel: Provided Richard has no objections and I get a promise from you
to submit simulator support as soon as the description is released
(first patch should be submitted no more than a week after...) then I'll
withdraw my objection to putting the patches in on this basis. (You
still have to get them up to snuff for both Richard and I on other
fronts).
I can't promise absolutely simultaneous release of GNU simulator support
with architecture description, because it may be quite a bit of work,
and we do have limited resources. Of course once the architecture
description is published, then anyone could go ahead and implement it in
the simulator. I will talk to my colleagues and see when we think that
we could get the simulator work done.
