What do any existing translations with these formats do?
I'd say Zack's comments in
<http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2003-07/msg02571.html> still apply: the
leading %H/%J should become %1$H/%1$J with subsequent arguments counted
from 2 (and any translations not in accordance with this should be drawn
to the attention of their maintainers).
If this patch is approved then I think it should be considered for 4.0
branch as well, as the translations are the same there.
