Just to clear, my suggested compromise was simply to drop "TargetMask"
from your version. I.e.:
Mask(M1)
;; adadadsxcvcddfdfdfd
;; dgdfdfdfdfdfdfdfere
Mask(M2)
;; fgfgfgfgfgfgfg
;; fgfgfgfgfgf
