Ok, it does not. With --with-gc=zone I get the following bootstrap

stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/ -B/usr/local/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/bin/ -c -g
-O2 -DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wmissing-prototypes -pedantic -Wno-long-long -Wold-style-definition
-DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I/net/pherkad/scratch/rguenth/gcc-3.4/gcc
/net/pherkad/scratch/rguenth/gcc-3.4/gcc/emit-rtl.c -o emit-rtl.o
/net/pherkad/scratch/rguenth/gcc-3.4/gcc/dwarf2out.c: In function
/net/pherkad/scratch/rguenth/gcc-3.4/gcc/dwarf2out.c:4595: internal
compiler error: Segmentation fault

this is on x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu. I think a non-working
configure option is not worth documenting.
