I have no objection to moving Subversion.

I would suggest that the right way to proceed would be ala the conversion to Bugzilla; figure out how to do the conversion, and do it, producing a version of the repository in subversion format. Let people play with that a bit, including doing dummy check-ins to validate post check-in scripts, updating (new versions of) our web pages, etc., and then convert to it after the kinks are worked out.


The only real problem with this is that i don't have the upstream bandwidth on dberlin.org.
Other than that, i agree wholeheartedly with how to go about this.

Perhaps you can talk overseers into letting you work on gcc.gnu.org?
