Fear not. The official remit of my maintainership as described at
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2003-10/msg00455.html defines "middle-end"
as "all files that may get included in libbackend.a, including files
in the config/ directory as well as target-independent files".
Technically, I'm a meta-backend maintainer though I (and the global
write maintainers) prefer to leave the administration of such files
to their respective offical maintainers.
