FYI the fact that dumpped specs override built-ins has burned me many
times while developing target code.  I've learned to [eventually] use
"gcc -v" to find out where specs are coming from, and I just keep
deleting wherever it says until it says "using internal specs".  Then
my source edits start having an effect again.

I'm all for leaving specs inside xgcc unless the user asks for them.
