It sounds OK to me, too.
gcc.dg/vect/vect.exp checks for hardware support on the test system and
sets the default for tests as either "compile" or "run" based on that.
The only tests that really need the checks in tree-vec.h are those that
use "dg-do run" directly in order to specify a target list, but that
could be handled in a different way.
