    Please do not do any more such patches until stage 1 of GCC 4.1.

Why shouldn't he?  Aren't spelling errors in comments considered bugs?
They certainly ought to be and there's absolutely no risk of such a patch
causing a bug (at the very worst, it'll cause a compilation error which
is trivial to fix), so it's totally safe.
