Since 2.95, actually. Nobody filed a PR and nobody complained, therefore, since I'm not in charge of anything having to do with the compiler, I must assume the warning is correct.

Sorry, actually the specific behavior, with ">>=" seems new and we have already a PR, closed too quickly about it (libstdc++/17120): I will reopen it as a C++ bug, and let's see what happens...
