Please put this in both the gcc and gcc-3_4-branch.



I've checked it in to HEAD. I want to give it a little while to make sure I haven't broken someone's testsuite. Also, this isn't a regression, so I think I need Mark's blessing?



Technically, yes -- but fixing testsuite issues that cause spurious failures is akin to fixing documentation in my mind. As long as an appropriate maintainer approves the patch, it's fine, even on a release branch.
