you added code to the apple-ppc-branch to deal with "New Motorola
Altivec syntax" and in

you changed some tests to pass with the "new gcc3.5 Motorola syntax".
I can't seem to find any information about this in the news groups, and
you don't seem to have added any documentation.
Can you point me in the right direction to find out more about this?
