For reference, the current revision of the patch is
<http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2004-03/msg01222.html> + a typo fix.

In <http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2004-03/msg01226.html> I asked for a
PowerPC expert to look at the assembly language itself.  I am now
cc:ing explicitly the rs6000 port maintainers.  Please take a look.

Since this patch fixes a bootstrap failure and affects only
powerpc*-*-darwin*, I will say that if the rs6000 port maintainers 
do not respond within 24 hours you can check it in; but in that case
you should be prepared to make follow-up patches to address any
concerns they have.
