This is basically fine, but please wait for an okay by Daniel before committing it. (For example, does Daniel have an affiliation he would like to see mentioned?)

If we could kindly add "of IBM Research", i'd appreciate it.

I suggest to update the patch, resend it here, and commit it after
Daniel's response or at the end of the week, whatever happens earlier.
