Well, I just had in mind that MacOS had a different newline scheme than Unix
and Windows had. I was not sure how this was handled in MacOS X now.

After all, the test for the 3.3 branch was successful, as can be seen on
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2003-12/msg00291.html.

Unfortunatelly bootstrapping cvs HEAD failed due to an unrelated bug, see:
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2003-12/msg00294.html,
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13330.  But as that part of the
test framework did not change between 3.3 and cvs HEAD, it should be safe to
assume that it will work on cvs HEAD too.

So if someone with cvs write access could commit this patch, I would be happy.
