Certainly.

I'm not really arguing for or against these changes, I'm just arguing
for us diverging from libtool CVS mainline.  We'll soon be able to
merge from there, and the more we diverge, the greater the risk of
getting breakage in the merges.

So, if you'd rather remove ppc64*, make sure this is done in libtool
CVS first.  Just adding powerpc64, which has already been added to
libtool CVS, has the advantage that it wouldn't require waiting for
libtool maintainers to review your patch there.
