The patch to use gnu make constructs for libgcc does not exist.
Since it does not exist, you can't evaluate how much cleaner
(or not) it is than the horrible mass of so-called portable shell
that exists in mklibgcc.in. And since you can't evaluate it,
summarily rejecting it is petty.
